My car is in the shop for a few days, hopefully not more. Sitting still is unusual for me so it’s a good chance to read, catch up on computer work, and, it seems, the perfect opportunity to give this blog some attention.
The presidential election was a week ago and the surreal feeling I thought would pass keeps getting worse. But life goes on and I plan to focus on the things around me that inspire and bring a sense of awe. Each morning I watch the early light on the mountains, a powerful daily reminder of how minuscule we are. Nature in general gives me solace, so it’s no surprise that organic forms and landscape-inspired backgrounds have appeared in my artwork.
This is a time to slow down, breathe, reflect and perhaps most important, a time to observe and listen. I wish all of us peace. Be well my friends.
